Package: bash
Version: 2.0-3
If /bin/sh was linked to say /bin/ash, installing bash will overwrite it.

So do you think we need to use alternatives? Or just make the symlink
in the postinst? Is ash POSIX compliant?

:I ported the NetBSD-current of 19970715 as our current ash. AFAIK their
:goal is POSIX compliance and the only problem that I'm aware of currently
:is with "trap" understanding symbolic signal names which shouldn't be hard
:to fix.

After 2.0 is released, I will make /bin/sh an alternative that bash
and ash can provide. I don't want to do it before then because it
might be too unsettling.
