Subject: libc6-dev: cannot compile mysql with libc6-dev_2.0.6

Package: libc6-dev
Version: 2.0.6-2

mysql (a database server which uses linuxthreads) compiled fine with
libc6-dev_2.0.5c. With 2.0.6 I get the following error:

gcc -O3 -DDBUG_OFF -o test_fn test_fn.o -L. -lmysys -L../dbug -ldbug -L../strings -lmystrings -lnsl -lm -static -lpthread

(I can send a config.log full of sample code that produces this same error
if that would be of any help :)

Thanks,

Scott

A quick follow-up... on the mysql mailing list, a Red Hat user has
reported exactly the same problem. This seems to indicate that the bug
lies upstream....
