the fvwmbuttons process doesn't seem to die when i exit fvwm2. this
happens only occasionally. it then starts eating up all the processor
time:

Yes, people have reported this in the past.  I haven't been able to
reproduce it, but will pass your bug report on.

i don't know if this wasn't already reported (i couldn't find it)
but... it happens every time i exit X using
control-alt-backspace. when i exit fvwm normally, it doesn't occur.
