Package: logo
Version: as of Thu Apr 2 15:04:09 EST 1998
The Debian Logo Page states:
1. As modifications to this license are still being discussed, you may use
the logo under this license until 31 March 1998. The final version should
be ready by that time.
Is it? If so, the license should be updated to reflect that fact. If not, it
should be.
With the discussion of orphaning packages due to copyright/license problems,
this seems oddly ironic.
(The above text was obtained from http://www.us.debian.org/logos/ using Lynx
on a hamm system, details of which are available by request, but seem
irrelevant to this matter.)

The license has been updated to be usable until 30 April 1998. The current
situation of updating the license every month is admittedly silly. We are working
on ratifying a constitution that will state how proposals can be ratified
in an orderly fashion. Once that is done, we will get to work on finalizing
the license.

There are now two permanent logo licenses, one for free use and one for
official use. The issue raised in this bug report is no longer there.
