New bug report received and forwarded.

Your message didn't have a Package: line at the start (in the pseudo-header following the real mail header), or didn't have a psuedo-header at all.

This makes it much harder for us to categorise and deal with your problem report; please ensure that you say which package(s) and version(s) the problem is with next time. Some time in the future the problem reports system may start rejecting such messages.

Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.4.0.21

This package contains the file developer-keys.pgp, which is severily out
of date. A much more up to date version of the Debian keyring is in the
package doc-debian, which I currently maintain.

In order to not have essentially the same piece of information duplicated
in two different packages, I would propose to do one or more of
the following things:

1. The Debian keyring is removed from dpkg-dev.
2. The dpkg-dev package is updated with a new Debian keyring.
3. The Debian keyring is removed from doc-debian.
4. We create a different package for the Debian keyring.
5. I split the doc-debian package so that the same source package creates
both the doc-debian package and a new debian-keyring package.

Personally, I would prefer 1 and 5, if we consider that the current
Debian keyring is now quite big, but I'm open to hear your suggestions.

Thanks.

These bugs have been fixed by the slipping off and the independant
maintenance of the debian-keyring package. NMUs of dpkg-dev have
removed the keyrings from this package.
