New bug report received and forwarded.

Your message didn't have a Package: line at the start (in the pseudo-header following the real mail header), or didn't have a psuedo-header at all.

This makes it much harder for us to categorise and deal with your problem report; please ensure that you say which package(s) and version(s) the problem is with next time. Some time in the future the problem reports system may start rejecting such messages.

 Package: ldso
 Version: 1.9.7-1

Hi,

i have compiled and linked a C++ program with egcs, but when i try to
run it, ld.so outputs this error message :

BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so: ../sysdeps/i386/dl-machine.h: 291: elf_machine_rel: Assertion `! "unexpected dynamic reloc type"' failed!

If you want i can mail you the executable (320Kb stripped, gziped), but
it is dynamicaly linked with some local libraries.

I have binutils_2.9-0.1 if that matters.

I think perhaps I know what are these. /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (which
really is /lib/ld-2.0.7.so) is somehow linked with libc5. This
makes some libld stuff go crazy.
