Package: Debian 2 install
Version: 2.0
After installing the base system from floppies, install unpacks the base
system fine, and then hangs (blue screen with the debian 2.0 Installation
line at the top and a flashing cursor in the middle of the screen). When
the rescue disk is inserted, and the machine reset, the keyboard has to be
re-mapped (and infact, it still seems not to have installed the UK map),
the colour display option re-selected, and the swap and linux partitions
re-activated (i.e. not wiped). It then continues happily. This happened
both times I have installed. I suggest this is an important bug...

This bug was present in old boot-floppies versions, but was fixed in version
2.0.4 (1998-04-11), the one currently in our FTP archives. Which version
did you use?
