Package: dpkg-dev

I seem to be unable to run dpkg-source (or dpkg-buildpackage, for that
matter) from under at, even though it works directly from the command
line. Transcript follows; notice the line where dpkg-source says md5sum
died from signal 127.

The strace (with -f) output (40 kB) is at

Has something set SIGCHLD to SIG_IGN ? Look at this, near the end of
the trace:

23024 _exit(0) = ?
23020 <... read resumed> "", 4096) = 0
23020 --- SIGCHLD (Child exited) ---
23020 close(4) = 0
23020 munmap(0x4002b000, 4096) = 0
23020 sigaction(SIGHUP, {SIG_IGN}, {SIG_DFL}) = 0
23020 sigaction(SIGINT, {SIG_IGN}, {SIG_DFL}) = 0
23020 sigaction(SIGQUIT, {SIG_IGN}, {SIG_DFL}) = 0
23020 wait4(23024, 0xbffff644, 0, NULL) = -1 ECHILD (No child processes)

Either something has been messing with SIGCHLD (perhaps at is broken)
or your kernel has a bug.

Ian.

Yes, at seems to set SIGCHLD to SIG_IGN.

Bug reassigned from package `dpkg-dev' to `at'. Request was from Wichert Akkerman <wichert@cs.leidenuniv.nl> to control@bugs.debian.org. (full text, mbox, link).

I would appreciate any rationale when reassigning that bug to
this package. It may be a bug in at but at is not maintained
upstream anymore so I have to deal with it on my own. I have
to learn what you want to achieve and why you want to get it
that way.

Thus if you want to have this problem fixed, I need your help.

Regards,

	Joey
