Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.0.11
dinstall does not consider using different boot and root options for lilo.
It should ask for boot option, suggesting the already bootable partition
perhaps. (I have small boot partition on \hda and linux on \sda, as my bios
can't boot from SCSI).

Liloconfig could be extended in many kinds. Im my oppinion this should
be done so liloconfig is *very* flexible or liloconfig should only cover
the most used situations.
If your situation isn't covered, create a boot floppy, reboot, edit
/etc/lilo.conf, issue lilo, and be happy. You may also use the rescue
floppy with "root=/dev/sda1" argument.
This might sound harsh, but if we are to support non-usual cases we should
cover all. I often get into the same problem, but using the rescue disk
for booting with root= parameter is fine, so I don't have a reason to
complain.
I'd like to close this bug report... May I?
Regards,
Joey

Well, I think we oughta merge all the lilo feature requests together,
and make them all wishlist.
As we cover more and more architectures, the idea of making a snazzy
liloconfig becomes less and less attractive, too, so it may never
happen. So here too, it's a "would be nice but may never happen"
wishlist item.
