Subject: makedev: ISDN devices aren't made
Date: Tue, 22 Sep 1998 22:35:57 +0200
Package: makedev
Version: 2.3.1-1
Severity: important

When doing an upgrade of all packages to the current slink level,
I saw these messages pass by:

Setting up isdnutils (2.1.beta1-24) ...
/dev/MAKEDEV: don't know how to make device "isdn-tty"
/dev/MAKEDEV: don't know how to make device "isdn-io"
/dev/MAKEDEV: don't know how to make device "isdn-ippp"

This is a big problem for those who want to use ISDN...
I'm sure that the previous (debian) version of makedev did these,
please add the code from the old makedev to the new one.

Thanks,
Paul Slootman <paul@debian.org> (please reply to this address)
