Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: deliver
Version: 2.1.13-2
Severity: critical
Deliver doesn't do dotlocking as per the Debian Policy guidelines.
This can (and will!) result in corrupted mailboxes and lost mail.
Deliver is perfectly capable of doing this but has been compiled with
the wrong options.
Please:
- turn on HAS_NFS in config.h
- turn on ML_DOTLOCK in conf/os-linux.h
Furthermore I think that in os-linux.h, LOCK_FLOCK should be turned
off. Perhaps it would be safe to compile with LOCK_LOCKF as well as
ML_DOTLOCK, since LOCK_LOCKF is Posix and more standard (and NFS
safe!) but I don't think it is nessecary to use 2 locking techniques.
Mike.

Message #10 received at 29781@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
I'm currently unable to create and upload an updated package, please feel
free to do a NMU. (for that matter, I don't use deliver anymore, so
anyone who is dying to adopt this away from me is more than welcome).
