Is this bug relevant nowadays? Please close it if it doesn't exist
anymore... (I've never seen the reported behaviour. My /usr/info/dir doesn't
have that problem.)

This is an automated message sent to all bugs older than one year.
This bug is very old. Please take a look at it and see if you can fix it.
If it has already been fixed, please close it.
If you have problems fixing it or if you don't have the time to fix it,
please ask the people on debian-devel@lists.debian.org for help, so that
at least the oldest bugs can be solved before Debian 2.0 is released.

Message #25 received at 3218@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Hello,
Report: 3218
Status: Open, can be closed.
Analyse: install-info adds section in a wrong way.
Explanation: Because of a missing newline, install-info behaved wrong. It is
unclear to me if only a \n in install-info was necessary, or also in
base-files. However, both places are fine today.
Strategy: Close the report.
Thank you,
Marcus
