Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: samba
Version: 2.05a-1
It appears that the samba_2.0.5a-1_i386.deb that is in
slink-proposed-updates on the debian sites is incomplete.
Here is a shortened (so it doesn't wrap in the email) directory listing
from ftp.debian.org
50760 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1.diff.gz
592 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1.dsc
1496394 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1_alpha.deb
311296 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1_i386.deb
1007188 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1_m68k.deb
5148 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1_security.changes
1119862 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a-1_sparc.deb
2196946 Aug 26 18:55 samba_2.0.5a.orig.tar.gz
Notice that the i386 version is only 311 KB while the other platforms are
all over 1 MB in size.
Also, when I try to extract the file, I get the following error:
dpkg-deb (subprocess): unexpected end of file in member data in
samba_2.0.5a-1_i386.deb
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Archive - EOF not on block boundary
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
dpkg-deb: subprocess tar returned error exit status 2

Message #15 received at 43663-done@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
The version of Samba in Slink (2.0.5a-1) should now contain sources
that are not corrupted.
Thanks!
