Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: fvwm2
Version: 2.0.43-BETA-0
-- Please describe the problems with the package here
install-fvwm2menu sometimes doesn't like to be called with one extra space
in between the "Restart" option and the command to run:
If I execute
/usr/bin/install-fvwm2menu --install WindowManagers afterstep/start none Afterstep "Restart /usr/bin/X11/afterstep"
then the menuentry WindowManagers/Afterstep will work, but if I execute
/usr/bin/install-fvwm2menu --install WindowManagers afterstep/start none Afterstep "Restart /usr/bin/X11/afterstep"
Then the same menuentry does work (note the extra space between Restart
and /usr/bin/X11/afterstep in the above line).
Fvwm2 will output the following error message, upon selecting the
WindowManagers/Afterstep menuentry:
[FVWM][Done]: <<ERROR>> Call of ' /usr/bin/X11/afterstep' failed!!!!
(and again, there's the extra space just after the first quote).
Yes, seems trivial, but it also means the window-manager menu entries
(like the ones shown above) don't work in the menu-package.

This is actually a bug in fvwm2 itself, not in
install-fvwm2menu. I think it will be fixed in the next version
beta (but I can't remember for sure, and I'm not the mailing
lists any more).
