VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) on device 8:17. Freeing init memory: 136K Setting up filesystem, please wait ... pivot_root: Not a directory Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!afaik initramfs-tools expects a ramdisk and doesn't work with a filesystem on disk.aboves message is *not* from initramfs-tools, but from the kernel itself, when you see aboves you have no initramfs loaded yet at all.
This message comes from /sbin/init which is inside Debian netboot initrd file. I am wondering what should I change in /sbin/init file in order to run debian-installer?
