afaik initramfs-tools expects a ramdisk and doesn't work with a
filesystem on disk.

aboves message is *not* from initramfs-tools, but from the kernel
itself, when you see aboves you have no initramfs loaded yet at all.



This message comes from /sbin/init which is inside Debian netboot initrd file. I am wondering what should I change in /sbin/init file in order to run debian-installer?
