Here are a couple of mail programs in Debian that might interest you. I do not
know the licences for them but I can confirm, that since they are in main,
they all pass the requirements to be `Open Source (tm)'.

bulkmail - Speed up delivery of e-mail to large numbers of recipients.
compface - Compress/decompress images for mailheaders, user tools
grepmail - search mailboxes for mail matching an expression
imap - remote mail folder access server for Pine and others
junkfilter - A junk-email filtering program for procmail
lbdb - The little brother's database for the mutt mail reader
mailagent - An automatic mail-processing tool
mailcheck - Check multiple mailboxes/maildirs for mail
mailleds - It show new mails with the keyboard-leds
metamail - An implementation of MIME.
mhonarc - Mail to HTML converter
mime-construct - construct/send MIME messages from the command line
mimedecode - Decodes transfer encoded text type mime messages.
mpack - Tools for encoding/decoding MIME messages.
signify - Automatic, semi-random ".signature" rotator/generator
sigrot - Signature file rotation program.
sortmail - a simple mail sorter
spamdb - Fully automated building and maintaining of a Blacklist
spamfilter - Filter spam from incoming mail
splitdigest - A program that splits mail-digests.
truc - transfer big files through e-mail
