Re: Release-critical Bugreport for November 26, 1999
I sent this email to debian-devel, bugscan, debian-qa, debian-qa-private
and debian-private to reach as many maintainers as possible.
I hope that some of those bugs get fixed by now or I will surely do some
a NMUs if the maintainer is happy about it or not. I won't accept that
bugs like #45428 stay open for over 2 weeks without any reaction from
the maintainer.
If someone needs help to get a bug fixed, feel free to contact the QA
comitte (they get a Cc). We definitely need to decrease the number of
bugs.
On 99-11-26 BugScan reporter wrote:

Hasn't there been a bug squashing-party? I have the strange feeling,
that it had not effect, because the bug number is still too high and

can't be a good solution for fixing bugs. Sorry folks, but I must say,
that some of you are not aware of what RCB = Release-Criticial-Bug
really stands for.

This is an very easy to fix bug, but there hasn't been any reaction from
the maintainer since 14 days. Johnie, do you fix this within three days
or can we make a NMU?

Could someone please examine this issue and provide a solution? It seems
like the maintainer is some kind of MIA, because this one and the
prevois bug should have been fixed one month ago according to the
STRATEGY-Tag.

Someone must examine the patch and re-adjust it for the new
upstream-source.

This one needs some examination and need someone with a average
knowledge of apache.

Some of our porters for the sparc-architecture need to take a look at
this bug.

Good News, wenn will this fixed package become installed and so the bugs
be closed?

Justin, do you upload a fixed package soon or can we make a NMU for
fixing this bug?

We will open a task at the debian-qa package for this. Someone with a
good knowdlege of perl could take this task and provide us with a new
and better update-passwd

Well, could plese someone of the sparc-porters grab the source manually
and test if the bug has been fixed?

Can be fixed by a recompilation? Craig, can we NMU it?

Should be easy to fix. A first possible fix is to save the old keymap.

Same bug as above, so I will merge them.

I think, that this is the same issue as the two bugs above.

This one shouldn't be too hard to fix, so I hope that we see a fixed
version soon.

There's patch in the BTS. Anthony, would you please apply it and upload
a fixed version? Or can we NMU it?

Easy to fix. Julian, when do you upload the fixed version?

Should be easy to fix. Is the fix in the BTS correct, so that I can be
NMUed?

Seems that this bug is triggered by a broken dependancy.

python.
