Summary: For thin client server, refer to network interface ports
by name/number (using biosdevname)
Product: Skolelinux
Version: squeeze
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P4
Component: debian-edu-install
AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
ReportedBy: marius@kotsbak.com
This probably requires biosdevname or similar support in the
kernel/bios/hardware. See:
http://en.community.dell.com/dell-blogs/enterprise/b/tech-center/archive/2011/01/24/consistent-network-device-naming-coming-to-fedora-15.aspx
During the installation, user should be told something like "Please connect
thin client switch to the network interface named "Port 1" now.".
