Hurd on VMware ?
Hi there,
I'm just trying to get the hurd to run on VMware: It seems like e2fsck hangs
up all the time.
I have the hurd installed on hda6, and it boots just fine. Now I take the
same partition as a raw disk under VMware, it boots right up to the point
where e2fsck should print its messages and doesn't do anything from there
on. Any ideas?
Booting a spare-Linux-partition the same way does work up up to right after
mounting root readonly and then prints out
"Unable to open an initial console."
Also, once in a while, booting the hurd stops with
"bootstrap/default-pager panic: openi 5000"
but I could not yet find out, when it does that.
Ciao,
Nobbi
