I attemped to compile Samba recently, but the configure script complained that "locking" was not supported and that would make Samba "unsafe." What locking is the script referring to and what needs to be done in the Hurd to provide it? Also, has anyone compiled MySQL or PostgreSQL on the Hurd? Kevin Musick kmusick@teldar.com
