Feedback on Hurd install

Hello,

This is my feedback on the Hurd installation... I tried the tarball of
25 october 1999.

First of all I'd like to say that "The easy guide to installing Hurd on
a Linux box." really helped me doing a painless install. I only miss
one little thing in it, a remark of the maximum fs size (1GB) for GNU/
Hurd.

Well, after the installation I wanted to compile some programs. Aaargh,
compilers were missing. I instantly downloaded gcc, binutils and some
headers and it worked perfect (and it still does). I think the
compilers are really important and have to be included in the .tar.gz
files (but that's my opinion).

Now a little question: I compiled Midnight Commander. But I cannot gat
it working with colors (only B&W) and normal ASCII codes. I guess this
has something to do with the terminal or termcap, but I can't figure it
out (in Linux I used one of the tic, tac and toe programs).

That's it!

Cheers,
Daniël
