Debian Project at several Conferences in Europe

Four exhibitions and conferences that cover Free Software and GNU/Linux will start within the next couple of days.

October 7th - 8th: Opensaar, Saarbrücken, Germany

Marko Jung will deliver a talk about mail services with Debian GNU/Linux at this local Saarlandian Open Source conference, which focuses on cooperation with local businesses.

October 8th - 9th: Linux Expo UK, London, United Kingdom

The Debian Project will be present at this forum for everyone involved in the Open Source revolution in Britain with a booth in the ".Org" village.

October 11th: Practical Linux, Gießen, Germany

The Debian project will be present with a booth at this conference organised by the local GNU/Linux User Group where Alexander Schmehl will deliver a talk about installing Debian and give a workshop about APT tools.

October 14th - 16th: Linux Kongress, Saarbrücken, Germany

Thomas Lange will give a tutorial about building a beowulf cluster at Linux Kongress, which is one of the oldest and most influential Linux conferences around. The focus is very technical and centered on the kernel and central system aspects.

We invite all interested people in these areas to attend these conferences, meet Debian developers and users, exchange GnuPG fingerprints, discuss various topics on Debian and Free Software, and otherwise participate in our vibrant community.
