Dan Jacobson さんは、オフラインニュースサーバ noffle にセグメンテーションフォールトとなる問題を見つけました。 これが攻撃可能かどうかは分かっていませんが、攻撃可能ならば noffle を動かすユーザ権限 (多分 news ユーザ) で、リモートからの任意のコードの実行を許す可能性があります。
現安定版 (stable) (woody) では、これはバージョン 1.0.1-1.1 で修正されています。
旧安定版 (potato) には KDE が収録されていないため、 この問題の影響を受けません。
不安定版 (unstable) (sid) では、これはバージョン 1.1.2-1 で修正されています。
すぐに noffle パッケージをアップグレードすることを勧めます。
