PostgreSQL の libpq ライブラリへの OCaml バインディング postgresql-ocaml に、PQescapeStringConn() を呼び出す関数が欠けていることが発見されました。 PQescapeStringConn() はコネクションの charset を認識し、一部のマルチバイ トエンコーディング利用の際の不十分なエスケープを防止するため、必要な関数 です。追加された関数は escape_string_conn() という名称で、第一引数に確立 したデータベースとのコネクションを取ります。従来の escape_string() 関数 も従来互換性のために残されています。
これらのバインディングを用いる開発者には、新しい関数を用いることを推奨 します。
安定版 (stable) ディストリビューション (lenny) では、この問題はバージョ ン 1.7.0-3+lenny1 で修正されています。
旧安定版 (oldstable) ディストリビューション (etch) では、この問題はバー ジョン 1.5.4-2+etch1 で修正されています。
テスト版 (squeeze) および不安定版 (unstable) ディストリビューション では、この問題はバージョン 1.12.1-1 で修正されています。
直ぐに postgresql-ocaml パッケージをアップグレードすることを勧めます。
