This archive contains the teTeX sources for the german and english Debian flyers I produced for the Linux congress which took place in Augsburg, Germany, from 8th to 10th of September, 1999. (Note of Javier Fernandez-Sanguino: it also includes the teTeX sources for the Spanish flyers procuded for Linux Expo that took place in Madrid, Spain, from 4th to 5th April, 2001) The flyer is almost identical to the one Michael Holzt had prepared for the LinuxTag in Kaiserslautern (June 1999), so credits go to him for the design and text layout. But unfortunately he had prepared that one with non-free software under a heavily non-free operating system (don't ask any questions), so I re-did it all with free software. This archive contains (hopefully) everything you need to recreate the flyer postscript files. You should have installed the following packages: - tetex* - gv + gs (or aladdin-gs) to view - maybe more I can't think of right now Also included in this package you'll find the excellent "leaflet" TeX package by Jürgen Schlegelmilch which contains everything you need to create the correct postscript file for double-side, z-folding flyers. I included these files in the archive for your convenience - if you are looking for the original archive, please check out your closest CTAN mirror and search for "leaflet". If everything is set up correctly, all you'd have to do is to type: (for the german version) latex flyer dvips -o flyer.ps flyer.dvi ./fold.sh flyer.ps flyer.folded.ps and (for the english version) latex flyer_e dvips -o flyer_e.ps flyer_e.dvi ./fold.sh flyer_e.ps flyer_e.folded.ps Please don't forget that the 2 documents were designed for printing on A4 paper, not the usual U.S. american letter format. If you want to print on letter paper, you need to change the .tex files, the fold.sh script and probably also have to rewrite the text as it might not fit on letter paper. I place the source for this flyer under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Though, of course the accompanying leaflet* files are Copyright Jürgen Schlegelmilch and are placed under the LaTeX Project Public License (LPPL). Enjoy, Frank (neumann@debian.org or franky@viona.de)
