When downloading files from a Debian mirror using FTP, be sure to download the files in binary mode, not text or automatic mode.
The installation images are located on each Debian mirror in the directory debian/dists/lenny/main/installer-arm/current/images/ — the MANIFEST lists each image and its purpose.
The easiest way to boot a Netwinder is over the network, using the supplied TFTP image .../images/netwinder/netboot/boot.img .

A firmware image is provided for the HP mv2120 which will automatically
boot debian-installer. This image can be installed
with uphpmvault on Linux and other systems and with the HP Media
Vault Firmware Recovery Utility on Windows. The firmware image can be

The QNAP Turbo Station (TS-109, TS-209 and TS-409) requires a kernel and ramdisk which can be obtained from .../images/orion5x/netboot/qnap/ . A script is provided to write these images to flash.
