Two things you can try:

- use amother disk

- play with the mac5380=<can_queue>,<cmd_per_lun> kernel option. Setting
one of the two to 1 (I forgot which) will disable disconnects. 

Basically, the disk you use is misbehaving in a way that confuses the SCSI
driver. No point in arguing that MacOS likes the disk, neither disk nor
Linux kernel will listen.
