The string "m68k-unknown-linux-gnu" could come from config.guess, and
maybe it's not recognized later by configure itself. Just try if
"m68k-linux" works if you do it manually. If it does, configure should
be changed to recognize the "m68k-unknown-linux-gnu" string, too. This
then is an error from autoconf :-) A quick fix would be to patch the
source package.
