Or pick up the apt package. Thats commandline driven and will downlaod 
the needed packages and install them for you.

"apt-get install xbase xserver-fbdev xfntbase xfnt75 fvwm2" should
then do the trick. The new X release uses different names, but it
should not be too hard to find them.

You will also want to install xcontrib, since stuff like xload is in
there (or was until the new release).
