man-db: *huge* index.bt file in alpha
Hi all...
I've noted that man-db package builds everyday a very huge
/var/catman/index.bt file in my alpha box:
rover@alpha:~$ dir /var/catman/index.bt
-rw-r--r-- 1 man root 123666432 Jan 12 02:47 /var/catman/index.bt
(and no, I don't have 10^500 manpages in /usr/man...)
man-db package is version 2.3.10-57, and the same package in i386
builds a smaller file:
rover@i386:~$ dir /var/catman/index.bt
-rw-r--r-- 1 man root 360448 Jan 11 06:55 /var/catman/index.bt
I've recompiled man-db package myself and got the same... :-(
Ideas?
Regards,
Roberto Lumbreras
