You are wrong. In debian/dists/slink/{main|contrib|non-free} are links
named binary-alpha pointing to debian/dists/sid/{main|contrib|non-free}.
So you may enter as directories in dselect either
dists/slink/main ... or dists/sid/main ...
Both will work.
