Hi John,

I am afraid, I do not have an answer. I merely can confirm what happened to
you was also my experience. I installed prostgres from potato for Alpha. I
could not establish a link to postmaster via psql or else with the above
error message.

I did not go into it and tried mysql. On the long term I would prefer to
work with postgres.
