kernel 2.2.x problems

Hi all...

I've an alpha box (AlphaServer 1000A/333, Noritake primo), and it
runs Linux 2.0.33 and Debian 2.1 (slink) very very very stable, and
with Linux 2.1.122 not so stable but it's able to be up for a long
time.

My problem is that it hangs with newer kernels. I've tried a lot
of kernels 2.1.12x, 2.1.130, 2.2.5, and no luck... after some hours
it hard locks: no network, nothing.

I only have a serial console, and I boot the box using SRM and
tftpboot (aboot + kernel 2.[12].x + serial console => the kernel
doesn't boot). There is no milo for noritake, AFAIK.

I tried with a VGA console and the magic sysrq key, but when it's
locked the VGA has not output and sysrq doesn't work.

I would appreciate any help/hint. ¿There is some usefull patch
somewhere?

If you need more info (.config, hardware, etc.) just ask.

Regards,
