Lovely, since I've just recently found patches for the TGA X-server
to make it work with the 24-plane TGA cards it would be great if you
could try it out and let us know whether it actually works or not.

You should be able to find the alpha port at any well-stocked Debian
mirror. There are boot disks in debian/hamm/hamm/disks-alpha (though
Loic has newer ones available IIRC.) You can probably install directly
via ftp (or possibly nfs if you have a close mirror that supports it)
once you have the base system installed.

You probably want to look through the archives of this list at
http://www.debian.org/Lists-Archives/ for hints and info on where
to find stuff.
