Right, which is what Windows does with AWE, which I mentioned originally.And AWE is used by only a precious few applications (SQL Server probably being the most widely known) has serious performance and VM drawbacks (1GB at a time, memory cannot be paged out, it's all wired in) and isn't practical for a lot of things.
