Basically I have a running setup, which broke after upgrading vom 85.1 to 86.2 (the introduction of lsb.init). I don't think, that it is a question of file permissions, since the old initscript of 85.1 works like a charm (btw: I am running clamav with user clamav, too). Even better: majestix:~# /etc/init.d/clamav-freshclam.dpkg-new status freshclam is running. and it is not! Mathias
