It probably wouldn't hurt.  Xorg in squeeze certainly doesn't know how
to do accelerated graphics on last year's Intel GPUs (Sandy Bridge) let
alone this year's (Ivy Bridge).  Display support might also be limited,
though it's somewhat separate.
