Re: Bug#1022173: Arbitrary and frequent 100% CPU load symptom with Libreoffice Writer 1:7.0.4

Hi,

Your statement on the other hand was dismissive and insulting on top.
And this report has a too high severity. And was on a non-supported
distro anymore. And for backports which doesn't belong here.
That may all be true (I got it via the backports list though, and
I explicitely CCed it since it's where it belongs.
*most* maintainers don’t complain all that much for bpo bugs in the
BTS,
Alone because the BTS does not know it for version-tracking is a problem.
and I’d definitely not call it unsupported,
It's unsupported, it's EOL in Debian (security, stable) officially
it’s even in LTS,

Which is a tad seperate.

(And is affected by security bugs. Admittedly most of them are no-DSA but CVE-2022-3140 is severe. That one is fixed by rebuilding bullseyes DSA)

People should not use buster here, they won't get security updates. And that is a problem.

If I need to nudge them into that direction, I will do.

Rene
