Akregator is tightly tied to KF5 and the Personal Information
Management (PIM) libraries. In other words: complicated to backport.

The only chance you have is to get akregator patched in stable. You
will need to convince the maintainer or even better: provide a working
patch (ie, not only the upstream patch, but also making sure it works
by building and trying it).
