Re: New LAM package
Greetings! I've just released lam1-6.2-pl3 in several packages.
There are a number of changes, including shared libraries, usysv
configuration (shared mem/tcp transparency), and a more elaborate
alternatives system. I've tested here, and all works, but I'm sure
there are still changes that need be made. I'm releasing now as I'd
like a few months of testing before potato is released. So please
test, but be ready for surprises!
Please also take a look at the package division/control stuff. I
really haven't tbhough this through completely yet, but just attempted
something quick to fit Debian policy. I'm sure we'll get rid of
mpi-runtime and mpi-dev virtual packages.
Still have one lintian error which doesn't seem it should be there. I
need to run ldconfig to get libs under /usr/lib/lam/lib recognized,
but lintian wants this run only when libs go under /usr/lib or /lib.
Hmmm....
Take care,
