Subject: Problems installing via TFTP on an Ultra 1
X-Mailer: USANET web-mailer (M3.3.0.24)
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Hi,

I am having trouble installing. Following are the details:

Package: TFTP
Version: 2.1(I think - I am using the tftpboot.img image)

architecture: sparc
model: Ultra 1
memory: 256MB =

cdrom: NONE
network: hme
pcmcia: NONE

I have the TFTP and RARPD server setup properly and when I do a 'boot net=
'
from the client machine, I can see that it is downloading the kernel
image(I can see the TFTP request and the client downloading the boot imag=
e
using 'snoop' on the TFTP server). When it finishes the download, I get a=
n
error message 'Illegal Instruction'. and returns to the OK prompt.

Details about the image I am using:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root other 2439052 Aug 25 10:25 tftpboot.img

Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We believe this problem has been fixed in the Potato version of the
Debian boot-floppies. Please let us know if not, supplying any
additional information, and we can reopen this bug. Thanks.
