Subject: sysvinit: /etc/init.d/network causes errormessages in 2.2 kernels.
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.7

Package: sysvinit
Version: 2.76-3.2

This can be simply fixed by adding "[ uname -r|cut -d. -f1-2 == '2.0' ] && "
to all route lines that add a route that is there by default anyway. By my
count, this would be line 10. (Note, BTW, that there are many other
packages with network sysvinit scripts. Many of them, including the one
that I acatualy have, probably have the same bug.)

These bugs have been closed in potato boot-floppies. In some cases,
they are syslinux problems , which was fixed in the potato syslinux
(you can make slink boot-floppies using potato syslinux, btw).
