That should be pretty similar to what debbuild does? Well, I get this:
strip --remove-section=.note --remove-section=.comment dbootstrap
make[4]: Leaving directory `/build/boot-floppies/utilities/dbootstrap'
make[3]: Leaving directory `/build/boot-floppies/utilities'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `utilities/busybox/busybox', needed by `rootatari.bin'. Stop.
which I find a little strange, since I never had that before when I built
with make release...
