Package: debian-installer Severity: critical Tags: d-i Justification: breaks the whole system Installing of the base system stops with the error message: "Debootstrap-Fehler Es ist der folgende Fehler aufgetreten: The bzcat is not available on the System - Schauen Sie in /var/log/syslog oder auf die vierte Konsole bezüglich detaillierter Informationen" The 4th console tells me: failed to execute '/lib/udev/edd_id' 'edd_id --export /dev/sda': No such file or directory 'edd_id --export /dev/sdb': No such file or directory After that, the installation process has to be exited. The system ist left unbootable from the hard disk. I tried //cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/i386/iso-cd on 2011-07-17 and //cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/daily-builds/daily/arch-latest/amd64/iso-cd on 2011-07-17 and on 2011-07-19 This bug seems related to bugs #633678 and #633782. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE.utf8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
