X completely ignores /etc/default/keyboard file after upgrade,
running
# dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
changes the file /etc/default/keyboard, but X keeps the
old settings on restart.
I did a workaround to allow my keyboard working like this:
jamhed@jh420:~$ setxkbmap -variant ""
but I can't figure where X takes it xkb options, marked as "**"
