I can see how one would think that. But fact is debian-boot@ is a
not-so-minimal-bandwidth list, and people might be subscribed to the
PTS/BTS on a per-package basis. Plus you get long-term tracking with the
BTS as opposed to a random post on the mailing list. Including version
tracking etc.
