Objet : Bugs on Debian 12 RC3
Hello,
After an install of Debian 12 RC3 in virtual machine, it is impossible to make a update :
"sudo apt update"
Because "/etc/apt/ sources.list" contains only :
"deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux bookworm-DI-rc3 _Bookworm_ - Official RC amd64 DVD Binary-1 with firmware 20230515-21:02]/ bookworm main non-free-firmware"
The following data is missing from this file :
# Bookworm base repositorydeb https://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main non-free non-free-firmwaredeb-src https://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main non-free non-free-firmware## Bookworm-updatesdeb https://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-updates main non-free non-free-firmwaredeb-src https://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-updates main non-free non-free-firmware## Security updatesdeb https://deb.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security main non-free non-free-firmwaredeb-src https://deb.debian.org/debian-security bookworm-security main non-free non-free-firmware
Another quirk I see with Debian 12 is that the ISO includes non-free, but you still have to enable it in remote directories with the ending " non-free non-free-firmware".
Best regards.
Philippe
