I was having similar thoughts myself. The important thing is that Darwin
is a Mach-based microkernel, much like Hurd. I wonder if the two sets of
developers couldn't cooperate on a number of things. It would be yet
another non-Linux port. But it is also fairly interesting, because there
is the possibility of fat binary packages (i.e., it ALL goes in -all).

Does anyone know anything else about the availability of an i386 version?
