do you think it would be possible to equalize the configuration of the CI worker nodes behind ci.debian.net and the CI runners for salsa?
I'm not aware that we impose any restrictions, so I'm not able to lift them until we find them. Our workflow is to setup hosts as out-of-the box as possible, so either restrictions are in place in default configurations, or are really there for a good reason. Unless we find where the restriction comes from, there's not much I can do.
