Well, if your test needs machine isolation you *need* to set the isolation-machine restriction. And you could help the salsa-ci team to provide machine isolation. Until that's done, you can't have machine isolation.
As Antonio said, we provide isolation-machine support on ci.d.n (on amd64) but it needs manual activation by us. I've added openvpn-auth-ldap, but it still doesn't pass: https://ci.debian.net/packages/o/openvpn-auth-ldap/testing/amd64/43041947/
